Starting with the elimination of many of the harsh chemicals associated with printing and replacing them with more environmentally-friendly products. Mountain States Lithographing employs direct-to-plate technology, eliminating the need for film and the chemistry associated with film for many of our printing presses and projects.

We still have the only direct-to-plate, waterless, large format (19×25 inch), five (5) color, printing press in Wyoming.

With our 14×20 direct-to-plate, waterless press, we have two, five-color printing presses to handle all of your printing needs.

The latest edition to our printing line is a Heidelberg Quick Master that also features direct-to-plate technology. Its two units make quick work of jobs that require a fast turn-around time and meeting our same high-quality standards.

Offset printing operations dispose of tons of obsolete film annually. The film ultimately makes its way into landfill disposal sites and will never decompose. Paper accounts for 40% of landfill solid waste in the United States. Direct Image (DI) presses consume significantly fewer sheets in the make-ready process than conventional offset, meaning less paper waste. In a world under pressure from man-made environmental contamination, we go the extra mile.

Not only do our Computer-To-Plate (CTP) plates eliminate a significant source of toxic emissions associated with conventional offset printing, our platemaking process does away with the need for film and its associated environmental impact.

Because Direct Image (DI) plates are created directly from a print-ready file that has already been proofed, plates are more likely to be correct when they get to the press.

And when direct imaging presses are used, the results are even better. The high level of automation in these presses ensures that the file will be printed right the first time, and usable sheets are delivered by the press with less paper waste.
